Rohit's Blog

I like to be a free spirit. Some don't like that, but that's the way I am.

Hello World !!  This is my first blog post. Ever.

And this too, took a time to come...as I was wondering how this post should go about...how to start my blogging career... Nevertheless, it did & its here.
One question that came up in my mind before writing this was "How  is blogging useful to me?" I mean.. why should I blog anyway? I quickly searched for the answer and found out that blogging can be a powerful promoter of creative, intuitive, and analogical thinking. Further, it is a powerful medium for increasing access and exposure to quality information. This cleared my way & now you can see that I've already started.
There are many things I plan to write about and hopefully they will prove insightful and helpful to people in many of my various ares of interests. However for my first post I want to start with me.

Myself

I'm a simple & cool guy... though a little shy. I've chosen Engineering as my field of study and wish to do MBA later on. My interests vary from movies to news, food to travel. The person I love most in life is my parents. I like hanging out with my friends, playing cricket, and chocolates.
I'm an optimist and find beauty in small things. I perceive life in a very simple way. I'm a theist and i get my source of power & inspiration from above. I believe that love, friendship, faith in God are factors of true happiness, of inner peace, allowing meaning to our existence.

My Stars

Sachin Tendulkar

Called "The Little Master" & "The Greatest Batsman Alive", Sachin stands at only 5'4. However, in spirit & talent, he towers over his colleagues. He has been performing consistantly at international level despite of major injuries.A very verstile & tremendous player ever born in world cricket history ! He delivers with the same enthusiasm whether as a very young boy or at the age of 37. His zeal at the ground will never fade, his aggressiveness on the ball will never decrease. He is symbol of strong determination & patience. He inspires me to work hard in my field. I learned sportsmanship, humility & passion from my hero. Likewise Sachin’s records take him to the top but his passion to play makes him stay at the top.

Dhirubhai Ambani

"Only when you dream it you can do it" said a 17 year old boy proudly working in a company in Yemen and my role-model. His name was Dhirubhai Ambani. He started earning money at a very early age & in less than 2 years he was promoted due to his excellence. I find this very fascinating because this shows lots of determination in his work. Dhirubhai returned to India and started a new company called "Reliance", with a capital of only $350, which has an annual turnover of $44.6 billion today! He was exceptional human being & outstanding leader. A man far ahead of his times, he dared to dream on unimaginable scale in Indian industry. His life and his achievements prove that backed by confidence, courage & conviction man can achieve the impossible.
